Did you know that CD Baby will actually pay you for linking to my CDs from your own website? Yup! CD Baby will pay you a dollar for every CD sold as a result of people clicking your links. Not only will you be helping spread the music, you'll be making a bit of cash on the side, too. And you don't need to be a Demo Club member to participate!
Here's how to do it:First, join the CD Baby Affiliate Program.
No really, it's awesome. Read about how the money works here, and if it sounds good, sign up here. They'll give you a "partner code" to use when making links. IMPORTANT! Don't lose this code!
Next: make those links!
Use the copy-and-paste HTML below, and make sure you replace the part that reads {{YOUR_CODE}} with your CD Baby partner code. Paste it into your webpage, and ta-da, you're done!
| To make a link like this: | Use this HTML |
|---|---|
| Scott Andrew - lo-fi acoustic pop superhero! (this links to all of my CDs) | |
![]() | |

(You can also build links to ANY CD Baby artist page and get paid the same way! Use the CD Baby Link Builder to find artists to link to.)
How do you get paid?
Now, when someone buys a CD from CD Baby by following your links, CD Baby will pay you a dollar. So it's a good idea to use your links where people can find them: on your blog, podcast site, LiveJournal, email or messageboard signatures — wherever you think people will notice them and click.
All the money comes from CD Baby, so make sure you read their instructions here so you'll understand how it works.
