2-player DHTML Pool Game
Scott Porter pointed me to this incredible 2-player DHTML Pool game he developed, which is not only fascinating because of the cool physics and UI functionality (use the mouse to pull back on the cue stick and increase your shooting power), but it also uses a hidden XML backend to communicate with a server, so you can play against a live-person opponent. IE5 and up is recommended; NS6 works but is extremely slow and unexciting. Scott informs me that NS6 seems to take a performance hit when using the Math object repeatedly.
