I found this pretty cool page of links to articles and tools for generating random text, Billy Burroughs cut-up style. I’m starting to agree with Brad that “calculated suggestion” can really help get the creative juices flowing when it comes to lyric writing.

I kinda wish I could find a rhyming dictionary in the form of a big ol’ open database. Then I could get some benevolent genius to write a program that takes a word, finds rhymes for that word in the database, then scours Google for text phrases that end with those words. I suppose I could just scrape words from rhymezone, but ehh.
