IFRAME for 4.x Browsers
UK reader Chris Hester pointed me to this: Netscape Floating Frames Library. It’s an IFRAME for 4.x browsers. Written in 1999!
The DHTML Floating Frames library gives you the power to place a frame anywhere on the page, or the ability to have scroll bars with layers. This library works with any 4.0 or later browser. Furthermore, using the Floating Frames Library requires only minimal knowledge of JavaScript (and no knowledge of layers), so it should be easy for you to implement on your site quickly.
