My Summer Vacation
And how did you spend your summer vacation, Scott?
- took a very, very long road trip across middle America and back
- saw where dinosaurs come from
- saw where aliens landed in 1977
- edited and produced a compilation CD for Fray Day
- camped with wolves
- attended a wedding at a spooky place
- managed to toast my AMD T-Bird machine
- learned how to repair said machine, installing a much sexier Athlon 1700XP
- wrote two articles on client-based web services for Apple
- did a bit of a redesign (and dropped NS4 support)
- managed to mangle my RSS feed (fixed) and destroy all my individual entry archives (not fixed). Permalinks now point to anchored monthly entries for the time being
- became an apprentice-level Visual Basic developer
- attended a rodeo
- read a bit of standard junk-food fiction: Joe Haldeman, Neil Gaiman, Lemony Snicket, et al.
- greatly cut back on my surfing habits. I probably visit less than five sites a day now
- grudingly learned to like Mac OS X in spite of its hideously deformed GUI (hint: learn to love the *nix)
- saw off-season shooting stars in Wyoming
There’s probably more, but I can’t remember it all.
