Congrats to Brad for being chosen for NPR’s You Play DJ, as I so commanded.

Weird and oddly compelling time-lapse video of someone making sewn stuffed toys to the music of Deerhoof, which sounds a lot like the songs I make up while I wash dishes or vacuum the floor.

A tempting situation. (Update: Whoops, the posting was deleted; it was a drummer and bassist seeking a songwriter/guitarist.) Sometimes the idea of joining a band is really appealing to me. I yearn to rock out with drums and bass, and work on new songs as a group, rather than solo. But I also like working on songs on my own time, not chained to rehearsal times and the availability of others. That, and I’m a big wuss.
