Studio report: Day Two

Jim and I spent most of last Saturday tracking guitars for a new version of Holding Back. Faced with the choice between doing a version with full drums or a version with congas and hand percussion, we’ve decided the only Right Thing is to do both. Which one will finally end up on the record, and which will be a secret track hidden out on the interwebs, I’m not sure. Anyway, we layered a ton of guitars on that sucker, and traded Slayer riffs on Jim’s Taylor acoustic.

I can’t wait to get to put down the vocals, even though I know that’s going to be the hardest, most tedious part.

I also posted a 5 Questions interview with Lynn from Expanding Brooklyn, the management firm behind local faves Mercir and Korby Lenker.

Busy busy busy.
