New album stuff
I want to thank everyone who contributed thoughts to my album-or-no-album freakout some weeks back. I think it’s awesome that some of you still prefer albums. It’s hard for me to pinpoint why I was feeling so insecure over the whole thing, but I’ve got a better handle on it now. Besides, I’d have to be on crack not to release an album on CD.
I’ve been hesitant to write too much about the new album project because I’m wary (and weary) of telling you yet again how! close! it is to being done. That said, here are some updates:
- Jim and I are halfway through mixing ten songs. We’re still playing with the track order, which is still important even though I know most people are just gonna slice ‘em all up in their iPodses.
- It has guest vocals from Alissa, Jerin, Laurie and Jim, and some really awesome mandolin and violin work from Michael (who is getting married this weekend, yay!).
- Pre-order goodness is coming in August. Still working out the plan for this…
(Side note: strangely, the DiscRevolt cards are a flop so far.)

DiskRevolt says “Thank you for visiting our page!
We are in the process of creating our cards.
Please check back often.” on the Store tab of your page.
Maybe that’s why they aren’t selling?
Heh, I meant the actual cards I have on hand at shows aren’t selling. People look at ‘em funny.
I didn’t even know DiscRevolt could sell the cards from their site, I think that’s a new feature. Too bad their site is slow and crashy…
Okay, I finally got that set up. You can actually buy the cards online now.
Thanks for the tip, Skeeter!
It’s new and people aren’t quite sure what they are & how they work. Give it some time ;-)
