Scott Andrew - lo-fi acoustic pop superhero!

You guys. You’re awesome. Thanks to everyone who’s pre-ordered a CD so far. Thank you thank you thank you. I’m gonna have to get cracking on that bonus CD.

I’ve put a widget on the right-hand sidebar where you can see the sharks and pirate kittehs and winged monkey heads roll by. I’m really glad I added that stuff (I almost didn’t) because it’s a lot of fun to watch the animal icons pop up. When the first shark-with-lasers popped up I about jumped out of my skin. With joy! And a bit of terror!

Jim and I finished mixing the last song of the album Monday night, and Jim proposed a killer track order that I didn’t even consider. I’ve been listening to a CD-R copy on repeat and making notes for some final tweaks to the mix before mastering. Then I gotta scramble to get all the liner notes and artwork together — only the cover art is finished. (Crap, what am I going to put on the backside of my CD??)

I’m also considering throwing at least one semi-obscure cover song on the album, if I can just decide on what that song is. I have a long list but none of them feel quite right. So don’t hold me to that.

Still much to do, but it feels very much within reach now…
